Solidyne Project - Box Hill Tafe

Box Hill Tafe is one of the largest Solidyne installations in Australia, consisting of over 13 buildings with a total of 170 nodes, plus Dakin Bacnet VRV, equating to over 5,550 points.

There are three generations of controllers installed in various buildings over the years, all seamlessly backward compatible allowing the customer to extend the network without the need to replace the older technology. The latest model to be installed is the M2 version, this is Flash based which means the hardware should never become redundant, a new operating systems can be down loaded over the internet without the need to replace any hardware.

Proof of Solidyne’s commitment to putting the customer first is in the fact that a new building was built in 1998 where the consultants allowed an opposition system to be installed which promised so much but did not deliver. After a frustrating 5 years, management decided it was cheaper to remove the opposition system and replace it with the proven and cost effective Solidyne system that has stood the test of time. The building control system was systematically removed, replaced and re-commissioned. There was a reduction of Energy usage as well as a dramatic drop off of complaints, truly a win-win for all concerned.

Features:

  • Air Conditioning Temperature Control
  • Alarming (Modem, E-mail, SMS)
  • Web Enabled
  • Central Monitoring and Alarming
  • Interface Dakin VRV Bacnet-RS485-IP

Home Automation
Solidyne Project - Home Automation

This exclusive home on the famous Hedges Ave strip on the Gold Coast was the first to install the SANYO  VRV fan coil unit system in Australia. Solidyne was required to act as a gateway-Interface-control  between the AMX sound and Video automation system and SANYO proprietary air conditioning system.

Features:

  • Air Conditioning Temperature Control
  • Gateway between RS485-Lon-Serial
  • Internet access (Web Enabled)

Hervey Bay Hospital
Solidyne Project - Hervey Bay Hospital

Hervey Bay Hospital chose to implement an energy efficiency program that would reduce Water-Gas-Electrical consumption. One of the major tasks to be undertaken was to upgrade the existing BMS system to Solidyne BMS and implement energy efficient strategies as well as ensuring the Plant Engineering staff had greater control over the functionality of the Air Conditioning Plant.

New and informative WEB graphics were installed with on page help menus that explained certain aspects of the web page information so non professional people could understand what they were looking at.

Night setback and temperature drift as well as smarter chilled water temperature scheduling were implemented to reduce wasteful energy consumption.
Overall the energy savings are tipped to be up to a staggering 20% savings which is quite an achievement considering that the hospital runs 24hrs a day and strict temperature levels had to be maintained.

Features:
  • Air Conditioning Temperature Control
  • Energy efficiency strategies
  • Critical Gas Monitoring
  • Remote access via internet
  • Alarm Text Messaging
  • Data Logging
  • Auto Change over (Lead/Lag)
  • Precise Temperature control in Operating Theatres

Olympic Village Sydney
Solidyne Project - Sydney Olympic Village

Olympic Village Sydney - Solidyne was chosen to control the quiet rooms for prayer where whisper quiet air conditioning had to be precisely controlled.

Features:

  • Air Conditioning Temperature Control
  • Alarm Text Messaging
  • Data Logging

Saudi Arabia
Solidyne Project in Saudi Arabia This Saudi Arabian government building had the obsolete BMS system removed and upgraded with Solidyne IZACXL-8 controllers to control the building air conditioning plant and maintain constant room temperatures and provide graphic representation of plant functionality as well as providing greater control to the plant manager via a onsite computer.
